Monday Jun 20, 2022
So let me ask you – how much time and effort has your organisation placed in its human resource processes (HR) and policies like performance management? Why does this even matter? My guest on today’s podcast, Jonathan Mamaril, Principal and Director at NB Lawyers outlined the ‘why’ in the context of managing your business risks. To what extent has COVID-19 impacted HR processes in your businesses? I, like most of you are probably over the impacts of COVID-19 but taking a view that its in the rear view mirror is potentially a critical mistake. You’ll understand why in this podcast and my thanks to Jonathan for sharing his insights.

Monday Jun 06, 2022
Monday Jun 06, 2022

Leadership is about communicating ideas, so an inability to paint a picture or make a compelling argument will impact your effectiveness as a leader. Jarrod also noted that you adapt your communication style to the situation. During COVID he noted that his team changed how often they met, they had to be more intentional and concise in how they communicated. I am certain you will enjoy this discussion and I’m grateful to Jarrod for sharing his communication insights in the context of leadership.

Episode 110 - Joe Ringer
Tuesday May 31, 2022
Tuesday May 31, 2022
My guest today is Joe Ringer, the Founder and Managing Director Founder of Unitive. Our discussion was centered on leadership and communication and raised many issues including coaching. Jo made an interesting observation regarding a potential fear amongst leaders to act as coaches as there may be no clear understanding of the issues or mental health of team members. However, if someone has given permission to engage and communicate in this way, Jo argued that coaching can lead to an individual improving their performance but its core, coaching is predicated on good communication.
